Shemoukh Twin Towers — Langham Hotel
Britain’s Langham Hotels International is to open its first property in the Middle East with a 250-room Langham Place in Doha. Located in the heart of Doha, the luxury hotel will be based in the central Al Shemoukh Towers building. The high-rise towers will each be 22 stories tall, providing a combined space of 107,000 m² and will include 40 serviced residences as well as one of the city’s most interesting collections of curated modern Middle Eastern art Construction period: 2009 — 2013.

Applying cement based floor screed
A screed is usually a mix of cement, water, and sand laid over a concrete base to provide a surface close to the specified level. It has a high standard of
flatness, suitable to receive a flooring material, such as carpet or tiles Only the latest and most powerful floor screed pump machines are used on-site to combine these elements into a screed and then delivering it to discharge stand by compressed air, even overlarge distances. The pumped screed is poured over the concrete construction and divided with a floor wiper. In this way the top layer will be reinforced.
The "semi-dry" screed can be compacted and finished by simple hand methods using as teel floator a screed board to give it a uniform cover. The actual screening process involves dragging a creed board over the partially-compacted course material and scraping off the top layer to create a smooth, profiled laying surface. After the screed has been spread, compacted and screeded to level, it will be bull floated or power trowelled.

More than 16 Putzmeister M760 floor screed conveyors are in use to ensure the highest quality and fast pumping of screed and concrete. The Putzmeister Mixocret is one of the most powerful screed pumps with a 3-cylinder Diesel engine. It can convey floor screed up to 180m or 30 storages high with a volume of 5.0 m³/hour. All our screed conveyors are checked regularly and are fully serviced
To achieve a smooth surface of a newly laid screed, a mechanical ride-on trowel such as the ‘Dynapac helicopter BG 70’ is used. The ride-on trowel allows to smoothen a large area of concrete or screed. In the final stages of finishing operations the ‘Dynapac trowel BG 21’ is employed to impart relatively smooth surfaces and work the edges and corners. Alternatively, for precision finishing, 3 or 4 passes with an a finishing vibrating beam such as the ‘Dynapac BV20A’ or a ‘Porta Screed’ are employed to give an acceptable finished level. A concrete or screed saw is used for cutting concrete, and screed asphalt. Currently, we operate around 35 Dynapac trowels, 2 Dynapac helicopters, 10 vibrating beams&5 speed saws.
